October Trip 2.5: Grand Canyon Day 2 (Oct 12)

For Day Two in Grand Canyon, we decided to walk less and spent most of our day exploring Grand Canyon Village. We went for morning talks about raptors in the Grand Canyon, learned about the geology of Grand Canyon and the history of the National Park. Quite a few lodges and stores here were established back in 1905 and are still in business.

I didn't many pictures of the Canyon today, and those I took today look similar to yesterday's anyway. So instead of rocks, I am going to show you pictures of plants and animals. Most of these pictures were taken at Grand Canyon.

I took the above picture at Lipan Point, Grand Canyon just before sunset. It's one of my favourite pictures of this trip.


And Mom's photography skills have improved. =)

Looking at the pictures, I realised how dirty my lens and sensor have become. Darn. I have been changing lens very often during the trips because I use only prime lens.

Tomorrow Mom and I will be doing a day hike into the Canyon. I don't plan to go far, since it's pretty strenuous. We shall take it easy and go as far as we can, comfortably.
